- Summary: questions about networked windows and 24-bit displays
- Keywords: network full-color
-
- Two unreleated subjects...
-
- In a networked Windows environment, is it guaranteed that every user
- has their own Windows directory even if they share the Windows system
- directory?
-
- Is there a reliable way to detect whether the system has a full-color
- display card (24-bits/pixel)? Is using GetDeviceCaps and the PLANES
- and BITSPIXEL info a good idea?
-
- If you know the answers to these two questions, I'd appreciate it if
- you'd either send me e-mail or post your response. Given the general
- problems I'm having adjusting to rn (I've been a notes/tass/tin user
- in the past), I'd really appreciate it if you e-mailed anything you
- posted.
-
- Thanks in advance,
- Kirt
