- Hello!
-
- I am a developer on the Microsoft Foundation Classes (MFC), the C++
- application framework for Microsoft Windows. We're in the
- process of enhancing the libraries for version 2.0 and are interested
- in input from "netland" for two reasons:
-
- 1. If you are using MFC would like to get any feedback
- regarding the application framework. Specifically, we are interested
- in features you have used, features you have not used (why?), and
- suggestions on how to enhance MFC. If you are not using MFC, then
- please only comment if you gave MFC careful consideration, but chose
- not to use it.
-
- 2. We would like to hear from any folks developing an
- application(s) with MFC that they plan on completing soon.
- If you would let us know, that would be great. We're interested
- in having a look at the size, speed, and robustness characteristics of
- real world MFC applications written outside of Microsoft. We would not
- use your name, your company name, your product name, or anything
- else in any manner whatsoever. If you contact us, we would be
- able to consider you for participation in our limited beta release
- program.
-
- If you have significant experience with MFC (for example, having
- written a complete application, or at least several thousand lines
- of MFC code), we would be very interested in hearing from you. Since
- we are working to insure backward compatability with MFC 1.0, we
- would like to put experienced persons on our limited beta release
- program. So, if you feel you qualify, please let us know.
-
- Obviously, we won't be able to respond to each an every request for
- features or beta participation, but they will all be given
- equal consideration. Please try to comment only on MFC, and not
- associated tools. And of course, we will not make public any
- release dates or feature sets. So please accept my thanks in advance.
-
-
- Please let me hear from you,
