  15. I want to allow a remote machine (Apollo DN4500) to print at my
  16. machine (DS3100 Ultrix 4.1 - ok I should upgrade, but don't say because of
  17. lpd is broken)

  19. For this purpose I entered the remote machine in /etc/hosts.lpd
  20. and entered the appropriate /etc/printcap entry for the remote printer.

  22. (My printer is a printer defined as a LAT device, BTW).

  24. Now there seem some requests already waiting at the remote hosts (client).
  25. When I start (by hand) /usr/lib/lpd after a few seconds I have some 
  26. Zombie processes.

  28. The remote lpq command tells me that I have to 'printer access' to the host machine.

  30. Is there a know problem in that area? Or should I just reboot and try again?
  31. I would like to reboot my machine. It has an uptime of 78 days.
