- I have just loaded Ultrix V4.2A onto a DECstation 3100, and I'm trying
- to back up /usr to TK50.
-
- Following the instructions in the backup and restore manual, I entered
- this command in single user mode after having done the umount and fsck :
-
- dump 0B 90000 /usr
-
- It works perfectly up until the end of the first tape. At this point,
- 45% of the backup is finished. I load the next cartridge and type "yes".
- Then nothing else happens, even if I wait for 30 minutes. Eventually I ^C.
-
- PS: I use a similar dump command when backing up a DECstation 5000-200 file
- system to a 4mm tape drive, with no problems at all. However, in this case
- only one volume is ever required.
-
- Can anyone tell me what is going wrong ?
- Thanks,
