  9. I have just loaded Ultrix V4.2A onto a DECstation 3100, and I'm trying
  10. to back up /usr to TK50.

  12. Following the instructions in the backup and restore manual, I entered
  13. this command in single user mode after having done the umount and fsck :

  15.     dump 0B 90000 /usr
  16.  
  17. It works perfectly up until the end of the first tape.  At this point,
  18. 45% of the backup is finished.  I load the next cartridge and type "yes".
  19. Then nothing else happens, even if I wait for 30 minutes.  Eventually I ^C.

  21. PS: I use a similar dump command when backing up a DECstation 5000-200 file
  22. system to a 4mm tape drive, with no problems at all.  However, in this case
  23. only one volume is ever required.

  25. Can anyone tell me what is going wrong ?
