  14. a customer, who wants to use an 'Adaptec 1742 A' controller-board

  16. The machine has 16 MB installed and runs under Interactive 3.3.
  17. The  ccnfiguration works ok with the same board
  18. in Standard Mode: 1542 B.

  23. Adaptec told him, that the 1740-driver-software
  24. should also support the '1742 A' in enhanced mode.

  26. The board uses interrupt '11'.
  27.  
  28. But when he configures the enhanced mode into the kernel
  29. and relinks, there is an error message:
  30.         interrupts cross.
  31. But he is not able to change the configuration  in the
  32. kernel-parameters.

  34. When he tries to boot the new kernel, he is told:
  35.         interrupt 11 und 6 don't have the same adress.

  38. Are there any experiences with this board around ?
