- Hi all,
-
- a customer, who wants to use an 'Adaptec 1742 A' controller-board
-
- The machine has 16 MB installed and runs under Interactive 3.3.
- The ccnfiguration works ok with the same board
- in Standard Mode: 1542 B.
-
- His ccnfiguration works ok with the same board
- in Standard Mode: 1542 B.
-
- Adaptec told him, that the 1740-driver-software
- should also support the '1742 A' in enhanced mode.
-
- The board uses interrupt '11'.
-
- But when he configures the enhanced mode into the kernel
- and relinks, there is an error message:
- interrupts cross.
- But he is not able to change the configuration in the
- kernel-parameters.
-
- When he tries to boot the new kernel, he is told:
- interrupt 11 und 6 don't have the same adress.
-
-
- Are there any experiences with this board around ?
-
- Any suggestions or hints are very much appreciated.
-
- If possible please answer by E-mail.
-
- Thank you very much in advance for your help and interest !
-
- Best regards
- Burkhard
