- Boy, way back when you were in the middle of a flamefest over the
- percieved benefit you would get by keeping all of the systems submitted
- for the Bake-Off, you got up on your almighty horse and said that you
- were doing this for the benefit of the net and that no vendor had to
- submit a system.
-
- Now we see that a good Dell system has gotten your mouth watering and
- you can't accept the fact that they have decided they don't want to
- contribute to the Help Eric S. Raymond Get A Computer Fest.
-
- I, for one, think that Dell is being smart. If I had a system I would
- not submit it to this Bake-Off because it is what everyone thought it
- would be - a way for you to get your hands on new equipment without
- having to pay for it.
-
- No, I don't mean to start up another flame fest, and Yes, I think the
- FAQ about hardware does have some good information in it. I just think
- there is too much personal gain in this Bake-Off and there is too much
- personal bias shown by what information has been included and not included
- in both.

- I guess these are the views of VTI - since it is my consulting company.
