  10. I am having problems returning to text mode from X11R5.  I have built the
  11. binaries, and everything works, but when I exit, I reset the vga card to 
  12. a text mode, but the timings are all off.

  14. I am running X11R5 patch level 12 on a mach/486 33 machine.  I have an
  15. Optima Mega ET4000 card with 1 meg of memory.  The monitor that I am using
  16. is an IBM 8514.

  18. When I return to text, I can see about 20 prompts all flashing.  Has anyone
  19. had this problem with either the card, the monitor or both.

  21. Alternatively, does anyone know the outb's that I would need to issue to a
  22. ET4000 chip to totally reset it to boot state?
