- Agreed. That wasn't my point. My point was that Dell should make the
- most of the fact that they are shipping the best SVR4 around, and push it
- as a product *independent* of whether the client uses use Dell hardware or
- not. Sure, we would like Dell hardware. But we already had plenty of good
- hardware. We bought Dell after reading Eric's FAQ and deciding that it looked
- like the best bet (at the time, it wasn't yet clear that Dell didn't want to
- support people with non-Dell hardware). We also were interested in becoming
- Dell UNIX VARs. We have had a serious lack of response from Dell on the
- matters of support, becoming a VAR, etc (fortunately there are individuals
- at Dell who are much more forthcoming, albeit they are acting on their own
- initiative). I think this is a pity.

- Anyway, as you should know, the problem is rarely with the motherboard!
- It is the intelligent terminal controllers, etc, etc, (i.e., the drivers)
- where most of the problems are likely to occur.
