- iA HP DAT drive (model 35470A without compression running under SCo Unix
- version 3.2.4 keeps "hanging" on the issuing of a second tape command.
- It can only be cleared by a shutdown/restart of the CPU.
-
- I am running it on a HP Vectra 486/33T EISA based CPU with an
- Adaptec 1740 controller. Have tried to run the Adaptec SCSI controller
- in either level or edge mode and also regular or enhanced mode. The
- behavior reminds me of the tape drive "bug" SCO had with Archive drives
- a year or two back under Xenix. Eventually SCO shipped a patch for it.
-
- SCO has incorporated the 1740 enhanced support and HP DAT support into
- version 4. It was not necessary for me to install the HP DAT or 1740 eiad
- enhance mode patches which were designed for SCO Unix version 3.2.2 anyway.
-
- No combination I have tried yet has cleared this up and I'm supposed to
- install the system on Wednesday. All help and suggestions gladly accepted.
-
- Thanks
