  21. BTW, the original DAK $200 CDROM special works fine with a
  22. Adaptec 1542A for accessing CDROM files with either SCO ODT 2 or
  23. MS Windows New Tech beta.  I didn't check its operation with the
  24. NT CD-player.

  26. With ODT, accessing the CDROM brings hard disk I/O to a crawl.
  27. I don't consider that a serious problem for most Unix CDROM uses.

  29. N.B.: the new DAK catalog does not mention SCSI CDROM drives.
