- I have been able to use the Speed Star 24 using the following kludge.

- 1. boot dos, run vmode.exe (supplied by Diamond)

- 2. select monitor configuration.

- 3. select custom monitor, run through the 640x480 setup, the 800x600 setup
- when the 1024x768 setup screen mode comes up CTL+ALT+DEL

- 4. boot UNIX and the third clock will be set at the speed for 1024x768.

- This is good until the power is turned off.

- Now if somebody can pry the information required to program the clock
- out of Diamond I sure we can get somebody to add speed star support
- to X386.
