- Having seen the comparison made of various unix packages for the 386 in the
- FAQs, I was wondering if I could get a few opinions about three of them:
- SCO, Dell and Sun's Interactive/Solaris.
-
- The general impression I have gathered from reading this newsgroup is:
-
- - SCO is very good, has excellent support, but has numerous incompatibilities
- - Dell is probably the "best", but their support is very poor
- - Interactive/Solaris may be the new up and coming product to buy
- - all three offer excellent, inexpensive upgrading packages
-
- I would appreciate it if people could tell me what they like/dislike about
- these three system, and what they feel are the advantages/disadvantages,
- particularly in terms of support, upgradeability and compatibility.
-
- Feel free to e-mail me with responses.
-
- Thanks in advance.
