  12. Having seen the comparison made of various unix packages for the 386 in the
  13. FAQs, I was wondering if I could get a few opinions about three of them:
  14. SCO, Dell and Sun's Interactive/Solaris.

  16. The general impression I have gathered from reading this newsgroup is:

  18. - SCO is very good, has excellent support, but has numerous incompatibilities
  19. - Dell is probably the "best", but their support is very poor
  20. - Interactive/Solaris may be the new up and coming product to buy
  21. - all three offer excellent, inexpensive upgrading packages
  22.  
  23. I would appreciate it if people could tell me what they like/dislike about
  24. these three system, and what they feel are the advantages/disadvantages,
  25. particularly in terms of support, upgradeability and compatibility.
