- Yippee!! party on dude...
-
- I just got a letter from the dept that have asked me to look into upgrading
- the system here,... now they initially wanted to buy solaris 2.0 for the
- box (386 33MHz, ISA (least it looks like it) with a 1.2 Gig disk + 60 Mb tape
- streamer) but I'm reasonably sure that Solaris isn't and won't be avalable for
- a long time for ISA architecture,... so... what I wish to knwo from those who
- have gone before me, what is the bets upgrade path solution?
-
- ie can I jump from isc2.2 -> isc4? ideally I wish to move to sysv 4 but wish
- to keep posix compatibility and have job control.
-
- email/newscasts are very welcome on this subject
