- Anyone can buy the UniSoft VSX test suite, but it's pricey. Nonetheless,
- Dell has it and uses it almost religiously (I know, I'm the one who does it :-).
- Point is... any vendor who is interested in being 'approved' by Dell as a
- serial board vendor for Dell Unix, should, I would think, contact the Dell
- Unix development group (like others have). If they don't care about quality,
- then they can just wing it. But some vendors are actively trying to resolve
- problems that the VSX test suite has turned-up (like Computone)... so don't
- be surprised if quality starts being an issue amoung these vendors. We can
- only hope.
-
- I might add that since my original posting several companies have contacted
- me and the Dell Unix development group... it's a good start. Computone,
- Specialix, Komtrol, and South Coast Computing are in active contact with us.
- I hope the rest will follow this lead.
