- I have X386 V. 1.1 under linux 0.96c PL 0 working fine. It requires
- my booting dos, running vmode, and returning to the dos prompt. I
- then have to run linux (without powering down the system!!!) in
- 80x60 text mode in order to keep the clocks I need to run in the
- resolution I want. So, it does work.
-
- However, I have heard that Patch Level 2 introduces a bunch of VESA
- stuff that may make this workaround less viable (I am hesitating to
- upgrade and find out). I hope X V. 1.2E doesn't leave us all
- completely out in the cold.
