- I've got a system administration type problem here:
-
- We are working with approx 24 workstations hanging off of each filesever
- There are additional servers which contain the executables for some
- inhouse tools which are mounted to the user's fileservers. (whew!)
-
- I need to unmount a disk which is currently mounted. Sounds easy huh? The
- problem is that there is a user who is cd'd into the directory which I need
- to umount or is running an executable out of this directory.
-
- Question:
-
- How do I either
- a) find out who the user and ask them to quit out of the tool and cd out of
- the directory.
- b) boot the user out
-
- .... without rebooting the fileserver.
