- After a fstat()- or stat()-system call on a pipe I can find the number
- of bytes in the pipe in the st_size field of the struct. My question:
- can I count on this? Are there Unices around where this is not the
- case.
-
- I'm asking this because POSIX and X/Open state that this field is only
- defined for regular files.
-
- Thanks for your answer.
