- I would like to have a mail_daemon type process that could read
- my mail (at a particular time) and if it finds a message with a
- particular Subject line, save it to a file and run an update.
-
- I receive an updated bug list every day at work thru e-mail.
- I wrote several scripts to manage this list (similar to sccs)
- so that developers in the group can sign in/out bugs, close
- them, etc. It gives us a very good method of bugtracking and
- can be used to look up the status of any bug that is/was on
- the list.
-
- The problem is that I must manually run my list updating script
- with the list I receive in the mail. Therefore, if I am not here
- to read my mail and run the update, our system gets out of date.
-
- I am using a Sun SPARCstation 2, SunOS Release 4.1.1. I normally
- use /usr/ucb/mail and am very proficient with sh/csh script writing.
-
- Any help appreciated!
