  14. What are the pro's and con's of Exabyte (8mm) and DAT (4mm)
  15. for use as backup device for a Sun SPARCserver??

  17. I remember reading something about how different tape technologies
  18. applied the tape in diffrent amount of degrees around the tape head.
  19. DAT used the least number of degrees, compared with Sony 8mm and VHS,
  20. and that then would qualify DAT for being the technology that wear out
  21. the tape least frequently. (read this in a audio/video magazine)
  22. If this is true does it then make the DAT tape technology more
  23. reliable than 8mm Exabyte??
