- Hi,
-
- A friend of mine has a security program he needs to move from
- one Sun box to another. This program is used by several other machines
- on the internal network. The person who set up the programs on the
- other machines hard-coded the address of the Sun in his code.
-
- I'm trying to help this guy both determine the current internet
- address of the target machine and change it to the address of the
- machine that currrently has the security program running. The
- address of the source machine is in its /etc/hosts file. /etc/hosts
- on the target machine contains only the line "127.0.0.1 localhost".
-
- Yes, I'm a programmer, not a system administrator.
-
- Thanks,
-
