  11. Hello UNIX Gurus. 
  12. I use a Sun Sparc2 (SunOS 4.1.1), which is one of about 50 Sun workstations
  13. on a local area network. I am currently involved in a project which requires
  14. that only one instance of a particular process is actually executing anywhere
  15. on the lan at any given moment. Is there a function that I can use that
  16. will search all of the machines on a lan, checking to see if process "xyz" is
  17. running, and if so, return the hostname of the machine on which xyz is
  18. executing ??? Any help would be most welcome.
