- Hello UNIX Gurus.
- I use a Sun Sparc2 (SunOS 4.1.1), which is one of about 50 Sun workstations
- on a local area network. I am currently involved in a project which requires
- that only one instance of a particular process is actually executing anywhere
- on the lan at any given moment. Is there a function that I can use that
- will search all of the machines on a lan, checking to see if process "xyz" is
- running, and if so, return the hostname of the machine on which xyz is
- executing ??? Any help would be most welcome.
