  20. Sequent should buy a copy, and complain to Sun if it doesn't work, out

  23. Note also that if the original poster doesn't want *all* of Open
  24. Windows, and has the time and energy to spend on an XView port, they
  25. could look into snagging the XView 3.0 source and building it on
  26. whatever platform they get.  With XView 3.0 you get the XView toolkit,
  27. Sun's "olwm" window manager, and a few utilities such as "cmdtool",
  28. "shelltool", and "textedit".  You *don't* get the DeskSet stuff, though.

  34. E.g., SVR4.2, which, like Solaris 2.0, is SVR4-based.  It also
  35. presumably has a window manager that does OPEN LOOK, although it's not
  36. Sun's "olwm", as far as I know.  I suspect that its window manager, like
  37. AT&T's MoOLIT toolkit, can be told to do Motif (or something extremely
  38. similar; dunno if it's been Officially Certified as being a Motif
  39. implementation by OSF), so if the original poster wants OPEN LOOK, they
  40. should be able to get it, although it probably doesn't specifically have
  41. all the Sun DeskSet stuff (you can probably put XView 3.0 on it,
  42. though).

  44. I don't know whether it's out yet, either (i.e., I don't know if you can
  45. walk into a store and buy it, or even order it from USL or Univel or
  46. whoever you order it from).
