  13. i assume you'd understand German, too, but maybe it's interesting for
  14. some non-German-speaking people (is there any?), too:-)
  15. I also see this problem, and some weeks ago i took some DES sources
  16. available on an ftp server (saturn.hrz.tu-chemnitz.de) nearby, and tried
  17. to make use of that. Okay, i have a password encryption function, but
  18. not THE passwd encryption. At least it seems to be as secure as the
  19. original, but there should still be any way to use those packages
  20. (which certainly have the same base as the USA DES). If there's some
  21. more interest in what i do have, i could post it, or you can get it
  22. via email. Maybe if i'll get enough time, they could be improved, so
  23. the encryption will match the commonly used one.
