- i assume you'd understand German, too, but maybe it's interesting for
- some non-German-speaking people (is there any?), too:-)
- I also see this problem, and some weeks ago i took some DES sources
- available on an ftp server (saturn.hrz.tu-chemnitz.de) nearby, and tried
- to make use of that. Okay, i have a password encryption function, but
- not THE passwd encryption. At least it seems to be as secure as the
- original, but there should still be any way to use those packages
- (which certainly have the same base as the USA DES). If there's some
- more interest in what i do have, i could post it, or you can get it
- via email. Maybe if i'll get enough time, they could be improved, so
- the encryption will match the commonly used one.
