  28. I appreciate the sentiment that causes these kind of posts, but being
  29. angry is not enought, and going off half cocked is even worse.

  31. An example of a way to apply ``legitimate'' economic pressure is to
  32. take the list posted earlier of the shareholders of USL, and relentlessly
  33. begin to cajole every one you know to cease dealing with these firms.  Start
  34. with yourself, then your wife, siblings, children, parents, neighbors, etc.
  35. Explain to these people that you are concerned that this attack on the NET2
  36. software release affects you personally, and will eventually affect them.
  37. Explain why this suit is a Bad Thing (which means you need to know why
  38. it is a Bad Thing).

  40. The point I want to emphasise is that a zillion hackers writing netnews
  41. is unlikely to cause enough pressure to be effective, whereas getting
  42. gobs of ``Average Folks'' involved, with the associated negative press,
  43. might.
