- Why not make a special 386BSD kernel designed to just do backups?
- Perhaps it could have a special single user mode just for backups.
- I've read that programs like dump shouldn't be used on an active
- filesystem anyway. I'm not sure even tar should be used except in
- single user mode either.

- For people that have two computers, one solution would be to do a
- network backup from the BSD box to the MS-DOS box with the tape drive.
