  12. In an earlier posting, someone noted that USL/AT&T had suggested that
  13. BSDI *must* have made improper use of USL sources because they were
  14. able to develop the BSDI kernel so quickly. Since most of the relevant
  15. kernel mechanisms are described in great detail in "The Design and
  16. Implementation of the 4.3BSD UNIX Operating System" (Leffler et al,
  17. Addison-Wesley, 1989/1990), this complaint would seem preposterous...
  18. unless, perhaps, USL/AT&T believe that the book describes "UNPUBLISHED
  19. PROPRIETARY SOURCE CODE OF AT&T". So, have they complained about the
  20. book? Any of the authors care to comment?
