- In an earlier posting, someone noted that USL/AT&T had suggested that
- BSDI *must* have made improper use of USL sources because they were
- able to develop the BSDI kernel so quickly. Since most of the relevant
- kernel mechanisms are described in great detail in "The Design and
- Implementation of the 4.3BSD UNIX Operating System" (Leffler et al,
- Addison-Wesley, 1989/1990), this complaint would seem preposterous...
- unless, perhaps, USL/AT&T believe that the book describes "UNPUBLISHED
- PROPRIETARY SOURCE CODE OF AT&T". So, have they complained about the
- book? Any of the authors care to comment?
