Get the src01 files and extract somewhere (preferably on your 386bsd system
if you have the disk space). Find the sliplogin subdirectory and take a look
at the files there.  It shows you how to set up for auto-slip connection for
known machines by setting sliplogin as the shell in /etc/passwd for those
machines.  In /etc/ttys you need to make sure that getty is on for com2.

These are not step by step instructions but you should be able to figure
it out from the source files and the sliplogin(8) manpage.
