- Hi there,
-
- after running 386bsd-0.0 since march, 0.1 has not much to offer. Here
- is a list of problems, the first is really a showstopper:
-
- 1 - large makes hang the system sometimes (try making the kernel a few
- times) (the patched 0.0 worked fairly reliable, it started trashing and later
- hung when I compiled X11R5)
-
- 2 - if fsck fails at the second partition, init continues rather then
- reboot
-
- 3 - the com driver looses characters (0.0 hasn't)
-
- 4 - ddb is not documented
-
- 5 - pccons.c driver delays entered characters until the next char is
- typed (sometimes) (0.0 hasn't)
-
- 6 - cp is stupid in single user mode ???? (0.0 wasn't)
-
- 7 - kern_execve.c doesn't recognize #!/bin/sh (patched 0.0 did)
-
- 8 - mtools don't work
-
- 9 - kermit is broken in multiple ways
-
-
- I think I combine the best out of both worlds and run a mix of 0.0 and
- 0.1.
