  20. I've seen this on kernel rebuilds, and large compiles (for example, remaking
  21. libc.a from scratch).

  23. I'm running a 40 Mhz 486 with 16 Meg.  So far, I've theorized that this
  24. problem is caused (somehow) by the fact that I've only got 5 MB available
  25. for swap/page;  since I'm moving onto a new disk real soon now, I've just
  26. lived with it until I can partition a 16M swap area on the new disk.
