- I have not tried to do 386BSD yet, but there are a couple of small
- EMACS-like editors that I have been impressed with. The one I use is jove.
- (I use 4.9 on BSD systems, but 4.14.7 on SYSV4, because it is difficult to
- get all of the features going with 4.9 on sysV).
- One I have compiled and spent a little time looking at is me2, which has a
- lot of similarity to GNU EMACS, but is a lot smaller, even compiling without
- a few features on DOS.
- I have found that MicroEMACS is less satisfactory to me , but many people
- like it better.

- latest hacks to jove are at a site at the U. of Toronto.
