- I don't believe simply disconnecting your AT&T service, destroying your AT&T
- calling/credit cards, or boycotting System V is going to make AT&T notice
- your disgust in their policies.
-
- What I am going to do, and I believe others should as well, if they wish
- to be heard, is to write a letter to the AT&T regional manager, or someone
- of higher authority, explaining to that individual that you are aware of
- the current 'tactics' that AT&T is using to monopolize the UNIX-type operating
- system market. You should also emphasize that you no longer wish to
- financially contribute to this type of behavior, and request that individual
- to personally see that your service is disconnected. State that failure
- to immediately disconnect your service, as per your request, is "breach of
- contract", which can have legal consequences. :)
-
- Simply telling a 'phone rep.' that you want your long distance service
- disconnected because AT&T sucks isn't enough -- your telephone conversation
- with the 'rep' is not going to be recorded and played back to his/her
- manager. People of higher authority have to hear your statement if you
- want to make any sort of impact.
