  11. I am getting the following error every few minutes with 386bsd 0.1.

  13.     trap type 12 code=fe2c0000 .... cpl=ffffffff
  14.     panic: trap
  15.  
  16. Once this was preceded by
  17.     vm_fault (fef2c2a00...) -> 5
  18.  
  19. Once, I have seen
  20.     panic: syscall
  21.  
  22. Many times, the thing reboots while and the messges disappear
  23. off the console.
  24. In general, the machine will not run long enough to unpack the
  25. srcdist distribution or even finish the make depend part of
  26. building a kernel.
  27.  
  28. Any advice ?

  30. Machine details:
  31. 386 clone (Blackship), no maths chip, 8M memory
  32. ATI motherboard (ATI-386/B2-33, 64K cache)
  33. AMI BIOS (04/09/90)
  34. video: ET4000 based, DFI VG-5000 with 1 Mb
  35. pc0 <color> at 0x60 irq1 on isa
  36. com1 at 0x3f8 irq4 on isa
  37. com2 at 0x2f8 irq3 on isa
  38. wd0 (MAXTOR LXT-213A> at 0x1f0 irq 14 on isa
  39. fd0 drives 0:1.2M, 1: 1.44M at 0x3f0 irq 6 drq2 on isa
  40.
