- Well, I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but whenever I insert a boot disk into a compaq, it starts to read the
- disk, then reboots (displays the ram count)...in an infinite loop.

- I got the newbootables.cgd off agate, made and installed the cksum (from the bsd tapes) on a SS2, and
- have the same cksum as the version I got...

- I then did:
- cmp dist.fs /dev/fd0
- and got
- cmp: EOF on dist.fs

- I also tried fixit.fs without success.

- dd if=dist.fs of=/dev/fd0 bs=18k

- which I did, with the same results...
