- I've put some patched boot floppies up on agate in
- ~ftp/pub/386BSD/386bsd-0.1/unofficial/newbootables.cgd
-
- they should fix the problem that some people have been having,
- where they can install fine, but then when they try to reboot,
- the system seems to have lost their disklabel...
-
- also the fixit.fs image contains a list of files which are on
- the floppy, which is useful, if you want to use my really-evil-and-slimy
- install method that i posted a few days ago...
-
- the readme is included below...
-
- Chris
- >>> BEGIN README <<<
- these are new bootable floppy images, which should fix one or two
- problems booting 0.1...
-
- specifically, they fix the problem where you can install onto the hard
- drive, but then it appears to lose its disklabel when you reboot off
- of it...
-
- the changes that made these disks will be in the first official patch,
- due out RSN...
-
- CKSUMS are the checksums for the *.fs files, generated by "cksum"...
-
- enjoy, and, as always, i disclaim any responsibility for any damages
- you might cause yourself by using these thangs...
