- I upgraded to the IIfx logic board when the Quadra first came out, and I still
- think it was the right decision. First, A/UX for the Quadras was six months
- away, and second, because I ended up with a 32-bit clean ROMs. I vaguely
- recalled reading that the serial port bug didnt exist in the IIfx drivers either
- (theyre different due to having peripheral processors to handle that IO.)
- The latest rumor mill says the Quadra 950 uses the same serial chips to offload
- the main CPU. Someone with more information/perspective can comment on how
- correct/significant this is. -Steve
