- YK> Does anybody know if those SCSI-2 card can be used under A/UX 3.0?
- YK> Those cards appear on July issue of MacUser I guess.
-
- I have bought a PLI Quick SCSI card and was very excited
- about seeing how nice it performed on both my Syquest and my
- normal drives (although the article you mention seems to
- argue that such cards would only make sense if you have
- superfast drives).
-
- Unfortunately, the PLI card needs an init to be able to see
- the drives connected to it. This init bombs my mac when I
- try to boot A/UX (2.0.1). Since I am currently in Japan, I have not
- tried to contact PLI about this problem yet, so I don't know
- if this problem is of the "tough luck, not enough A/UX customers to
- make fixing worthwhile"-type (as I was told when I bought my
- data desk 3rd party keyboard).
-
- If anybody knows about upgrades or fixes for the problem
- with the PLI card, I would appreciate hearing about it.
-
- Cheers, Thomas.
