  21. I have bought a PLI Quick SCSI card and was very excited
  22. about seeing how nice it performed on both my Syquest and my
  23. normal drives (although the article you mention seems to
  24. argue that such cards would only make sense if you have
  25. superfast drives).

  27. Unfortunately, the PLI card needs an init to be able to see
  28. the drives connected to it. This init bombs my mac when I
  29. try to boot A/UX (2.0.1). Since I am currently in Japan, I have not
  30. tried to contact PLI about this problem yet, so I don't know
  31. if this problem is of the "tough luck, not enough A/UX customers to
  32. make fixing worthwhile"-type (as I was told when I bought my
  33. data desk 3rd party keyboard).

  35. If anybody knows about upgrades or fixes for the problem
  36. with the PLI card, I would appreciate hearing about it.
