- You will see a perceptable performance boost if you do a 'newfs' on
- a partition to create the file system rather than having HD Setup create
- on for you (assuming you give 'newfs' a correct disktab entry).

- Milage may vary, but my experience (with a 330MB WrenRunner and a
- 520MB Fujitsu) shows about a 10% gain (in throughput).
