  11. We just had the fright of our lives down here. We cannot
  12. read our backup tapes with the restore -xvf/dev/rmt0 etc..
  13. command. Since we just upgraded to 3.2.0 (it finnnnnnnnaly
  14. arrived) some of our programs were gone, which we expected.
  15. The help line told use to use the following command

  17. dd if=/dev/rmt0 bs=51200 | restore -xdvf- directory
  18.  
  19. He could not give me an answer to the question WHY?
  20. it worked. Can anybody shed some light on this
  21. We were using 3.1.8 before the upgrade.
