- On both 3.1 and 3.2 initial install, I had to raise maxuproc so I could
- have lots of windows open at once etc. When I installed 3.2, I made my
- system backup before I raised maxuproc. Then I raised it, and all was
- well.
-
- A few days later I had a hardware failure that damaged the disk, and I
- had to reinstall from the backup tape. I tried to raise maxuproc again,
- to no avail. SMIT shows that maxuproc has been raised, but I'm still
- limited to just over 40 process, even though maxuproc now says 400.
-
- Any ideas, anybody? Email replies will be summaried here.
-
- Thanks.
