  12. I already posted this some time ago, but the answers were no help for my
  13. problem:

  15. I'm trying to connect a NEC P6 to an IBM RS/6000. Some DOS machines use
  16. the P6 as network printer (via PC/TCP lpd-access), so I need transparent
  17. printing (people use Winword and ATM, so almost everything printed is
  18. graphics).

  20. When I print to a file on the DOS machine, put the file to the RS/6000
  21. and say 'cat file > /dev/lp0' I get what I want.

  23. I have configured virtual printers (starting from ASCII, HPII) with the
  24. _d=p (passthrough) parameter. The printout looks fine up to a few lines,
  25. then it gets scrambled.
