- I already posted this some time ago, but the answers were no help for my
- problem:
-
- I'm trying to connect a NEC P6 to an IBM RS/6000. Some DOS machines use
- the P6 as network printer (via PC/TCP lpd-access), so I need transparent
- printing (people use Winword and ATM, so almost everything printed is
- graphics).
-
- When I print to a file on the DOS machine, put the file to the RS/6000
- and say 'cat file > /dev/lp0' I get what I want.
-
- I have configured virtual printers (starting from ASCII, HPII) with the
- _d=p (passthrough) parameter. The printout looks fine up to a few lines,
- then it gets scrambled.
-
- What am I doing wrong?
