- I am telnetting to a host (over which I have no control) which is sending out
- 8-bit characters, with even parity. Unfortunately, on a display with
- characters above 0177, this causes unreadable output. Is there a way in
- telnet, stty, etc. which would cause the stripping of the characters to 7
- bits?

- If the answer is obvious, sorry. I've looked and experimented, but haven't
- seen the light.
