- I believe that your information is wrong. Third party disks are supported
- in 3.1.7. They should come up as osdisks (Other Scsi Disks).

- By the way, the problem with the tape drives on 3.1.7 is due to the wide
- variety of implementations by the tape vendors (Exabyte vs. Tandem etc.)
- And I bet the UltraStor card doesn't handle 8mm tape drives because most
- 486's don't have 1GB or more of disk space. I don't know this for sure, it
- is just a guess. It was Exabytes implementation that caused all the
- confusion (IMHO). They did some things different than the previous tape
- drive vendors (which is why you can now fit up to 25GB on a 8mm tape).
