- We need to replace a disk drive on an RS6000 model 530. One of the drives
- that has been suggested (by a non RS6000 person) was the Fujitsu M265X
- SCSI drive. If you have had any experience (good or bad) with this drive
- please let me know. Specific questions I would like answered are:
-
- 1) It claims to format out to 1.488G with an average seek of 11.5ms. True?
- 2) Are any special cables/adapters needed for 3rd party external SCSI drives?
- (this must be a FAQ but is not in the FAQ)
- 3) If special cables/adapters are needed do they affect the disks performance?
-
-
- Please Email responses to me and I will post a summary.

-
- Thanks
