- I need some help here. I have a down'd xenix box with some data on the
- root file system. THe problem is this: every time i go to backup,
- either with cpio or tar the system locks up. I have tried tar'ing out
- to just the floppy, but after a few files, the system locks up. I believe
- the xenix os is corrupt. what i need to do is to try a backup via a direct
- connect of my unix box. this is where i need help: should i set up
- micnet <sys v sco> and try to find all files on the xenix box then pipe
- those files through cpio over to my unix box? it sounds like this will
- work, but if anyone out there knows of a better way, even if it is obvious,
- PLEASE! let me know.
- thanks,
- chrism
