  10. I need some help here.  I have a down'd xenix box with some data on the
  11. root file system.  THe problem is this:  every time i go to backup,
  12. either with cpio or tar the system locks up.  I have tried tar'ing out
  13. to just the floppy, but after a few files, the system locks up.  I believe
  14. the xenix os is corrupt.  what i need to do is to try a backup via a direct
  15. connect of my unix box.  this is where i need help:    should i set up
  16. micnet <sys v sco> and try to find all files on the xenix box then pipe
  17. those files through cpio over to my unix box?  it sounds like this will
  18. work, but if anyone out there knows of a better way, even if it is obvious,
  19. PLEASE!  let me know.
