- Hi,
-
- We are running a 386 with SCO sys V R3.2.2. Long ago we put up a root disk
- with 100 MB. Coming from DOS backgrounds, this seemed like plenty for a
- system. We now realize as we add products (notably X Window) that products
- are picky about residing in /usr/bin and /usr/lib ...
-
- Our root pack is now plugged and can't accept the 30MB distribution of
- X Window. We have a 200MB pack on line which we have cleared off. Is there
- any way to migrate the root to this disk, then magically tell the system
- to boot from it and mount the old disk as a different filesystem.
-
- This seems like one of the most difficult things we have ever had to do
- with our UNIX platform. Any ideas would be welcome. Thank you in advance.
