  11. We installed PC-NFS on a PC running DOS 5.0. We are trying to 
  12. connect the PC to a file server which is a SUN Sparc workstation.
  13. The installation and configuration processes were through 
  14. smoothly. However, we could not connect to the server from the PC. 
  15. When I ran nisdomain, it was fine, but when I ran nisset as 
  16. "nisset hostname", it told me that "hostname is not the nis server
  17. for the domain hostname".

  19. I tried to use command "ping hostname". I was told "hostname is 
  20. unreachable". I also tried telnet and unable to open connection.
  21.  
  22. The server is connected to several other sparcs through an 
  23. Ethernet. They work well. 
  24.  
  25. Can anyone tell me where the problem might be?
