  14. I had the same problem with ISC 2.x. The fixes available were:
  15. 1) User a slower speed. (a waste of a good modem)
  16. 2) Get a serial board with 16550 (if supported by the driver)
  17. 3) Replace the serial driver

  19. I went with #3 using fas 2.09. An excellent package that builds and installs
  20. better than most commercial packages. When I upgraded to rev 3 of unix it
  21. was no longer needed. I suspect if I were to load it now though, I may see
  22. some speed improvements over the native driver.

  24. Fas should be easy to find. It was posted to the net aboput a year ago in
  25. alt.sources.
