  12. Can anyone tell me why LaTeX replaces \eqnalign with the eqnarray environment,
  13. and what the differences between the two are (as far as their power and 
  14. useability)? \eqnalign seems to be the only TeX command that (without
  15. further adjustment) cannot be used under LaTeX.
