- Hi all
-
- I was busy preparing overhead slides for a talk last night, and when I ran
- my file through emTeX, my 386 hung right near the end. The errors that I later
- found were:
-
- * at two points early on, I had constructions of the form {\em xxx)
- (that is, `)' instead of `}').
-
- * about 200 lines later I had one unterminated list of items (no \end{itemize}).
-
- It was on the latter that it hung. I got four error messages (Somethings wrong -
- perhaps a missing \item), after which it quietly died.
-
- I am posting this just out of interest. In the 1+ year I have been using
- emTeX, this is the first time it has hung on me, on quite a trivial error.
- Has anyone else experienced this? I am running a reasonably old version of
- emTeX (TeX 3.0 compliant, but about 1.5 years old). I can check the version
- number if anyone is interested, and perhaps post a shortened form of the input
- if I can replicate the error in a few lines.
-
- Happy TeXing!
- Graham.
