  11. Hi.  Many of these questions are probably FAQs, but if someone could email
  12. me some quick replies, it would be greatly appreciated.

  14. Some people in my workplace have been asking for information on how to 
  15. deal with ".tex" files.  The workplace is strongly PC dominated, with a few
  16. low-powered Intel based Xenix machines.

  18. The questions:

  20.     1) Are there any good PostScript previewers/printer dump utilities
  21.            for MS-DOS available through shareware, preferably by FTP?
  22.  
  23.         2) What is a good PC based (shareware) TeX package?  Most of the
  24.            commercial ones I've seen have looked pretty rough compared to
  25.            the Radical Eye versions of the Amiga and the NeXT... nothing
  26.            wonderful is wanted, just something adequate.

  28. So far the best solution I've been able to suggest to the few people who need
  29. to print TeX files (without learning about TeX itself...sigh) in a fascistly
  30. MS Word based environment has been for me to compile their stuff at home, 
  31. and upload it to the Xenix machines at work, for dvips'ing...
